Merge Word, PowerPoint, Excel & PDF Files into One Markdown File – WholeDocs

WholeDocs extracts text from Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), Excel (.xlsx), PDF, email (.eml and .msg), RTF, CSV, Markdown, and plain-text files, then combines the selected files into one document. Reorder files before merging, copy the result, or download it as .md or .txt.

The files you select are processed locally by WholeDocs in your browser and are not uploaded for conversion. You can add up to 100 files, with a maximum size of 50 MB per file, and enter preset passwords for supported password-protected PDF or Office files.

How to merge documents with WholeDocs

    1. Select the formats you want to add. If a supported PDF or Office file is password-protected, enter up to three candidate passwords under Preset Passwords.
    2. Add files or folders by clicking the drop zone, dragging and dropping them, or Shift-clicking to choose a folder. Review the list, change the character encoding if text is garbled, and reorder or remove files as needed.
    3. Click Merge. WholeDocs extracts the supported text and combines the files in the displayed order.
    4. Use Copy, Download .md, or Download .txt to use or save the result. Reset clears the selected files and merged output.
